A small original vintage floral still life by British artist Rita Burns (1928–2022), painted in oil on board and most likely dating from the mid-20th century. A loose arrangement of vibrant yellow daisy-like flowers and orange blooms sits against a softly worked blue-grey background.
Initialled RB lower left and attributed to Rita Burns, who studied at St Martin’s School of Art in the early 1950s and later exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.
Presented in a decorative carved wooden French frame with a distressed finish.
In good overall vintage condition, with age-related wear to both the painting and frame consistent with its age.
